San Antonio/San Marcos J+50/51

Pour moi (Barbara), San Antonio me rappelle d’excellents souvenirs. Je suis déjà venue au Texas avec mes parents en juin 2011 afin de venir voir ma petite sœur Coralie qui était accueillie dans une famille pendant un an dans le cadre d’un échange international. Pour Thomas, c’est la découverte de cette ville superbe avec sa promenade verdoyante le long du canal Riverwalk et les vestiges de la forteresse Alamo qui a joué un rôle majeur dans l’histoire de la naissance du Texas.

Nous avons une nouvelle fois rencontré la police (ça devient une habitude). Nous avions garé notre voiture sur un parking public payant et quand nous sommes revenus en fin de journée, notre voiture était la dernière sur le parking avec une voiture de police à côté. Au début, nous pensions que nous avions dépassé le temps autorisé ou que le parking était maintenant fermé et qu’on risquait la fourrière. En réalité, une personne travaillant à proximité a vu roder deux personnes autour de la voiture et a appelé la police qui a surveillé la voiture jusqu’à notre arrivée. Décidement on est vernis.

For me (Barbara), San Antonio reminds me great memories. I came to Texas with my parents in June 2011 to see my little sister Coralie, who was staying into a host family for a year as part of an international exchange. For Thomas, it is the discovery of this stunning city with its verdant promenade along the Riverwalk Canal and the remains of the Alamo Fortress that has played a major role in the history of the Texas birth.

Once again, we met the police (it becomes a habit). We parked our car on a paying public parking and when we went back at the end of the day our car was the only one in the parking with a police car beside. At first, we thought we had gone beyond the allowed time or that the parking was now closed and that we risk to be towed. In fact, a man working in the area saw two persons hang around the car and call the cops. They were then looking at our car until we came back. Decidedly we are very lucky.
