Bocas del Toro J+94/95/96

Après avoir pris le bus pour traverser la frontière entre le Costa Rica et le Panama, nous avons utilisé un water taxi pour nous rendre à Bocas del Toro. Après avoir posé nos valises à l’auberge nous décidons de faire un tour sur l’île d’en face : Carenero. Il y a tout pour faire rêver : des belles plages, de l’eau turquoise, des cocotiers et même des moutisques… ces derniers nous donnent du fil à retordre !

Deuxième jour exceptionnel : au programme de la matinée nos deux premières plongées après notre certification PADI. Nous étions tous les deux très impatients mais quelque peu anxieux aussi. Au final, nos deux plongées furent tout simplement géniales. Nous étions que tous les deux avec notre Divemaster et le capitaine sur le plus gros bateau de l’île. Nous avons vu un nombre incroyable de coraux multicolores et des poissons plus beaux les uns que les autres. Malheureusement, nous ne pouvions pas faire de photos avec notre appareil à 14m de profondeur. Après quelques sauts périlleux depuis le toit du bateau, on rentre pour une pause déjeuner bien méritée. Notre journée sportive ne s’arrête pas là car le centre de plongée nous offre la location de deux kayaks pour nous balader tout l’après-midi. Autant dire qu’on a bien pagayé, rigolé et failli se renverser dans les vagues des surfeurs. Petite dédicace à mes parents et à Simon, vous auriez été fiers de nous ;)

Le soir venu, nous sommes absolument ravis de retrouver nos amis français Caroline et Anthony que nous avions rencontrés sur l’ascension du Volcan au Guatemala. Nous nous sommes croisés par hasard à Puerto Viejo devant la boulangerie (point de rassemblement logique des français me direz-vous) et nous avions décidé de passer du temps ensemble au Panama. Du coup, quand des français se retrouvent, c’est forcément autour de l’apéro avec saucisson et fromage. Que du bonheur.

Pour cette dernière journée entre français, nous sommes partis découvrir une autre île paradisiaque de l’archipel : Solarte. Nous avons pu faire du snorkling, lire et faire quelques parties de jeux, bref nous avons bien profité avant la nuit dans le bus qui nous attendait pour rejoindre Panama city.

After having taking the bus to cross the border between Costa Rica and Panama, we used a water taxi to go to Bocas del Toro. At our arrival, we drop off our luggage to the hostel and decided to take a tour on the opposite island: Carenero. This island really looks like a dream: the beautiful beaches, the turquoise water, the coconut trees and even the moutisques ... the last one gave us a hard time!

Second day exceptional : the morning program was our first two dives following our PADI certifications. We were both really impatient and also anxious but it was just great. We were only the two of us with our Divemaster and the captain of the biggest boat on the island. We saw an incredible number of multicolored corals and fish more beautiful than the others. Unfortunately, we were not able to make pictures with our camera at 14m depth. After a few somersaults from the roof of the boat, we return to the marina for a well-deserved lunch break. Our daily sport does not end there because the diving center offered us the rental of two kayaks for the whole afternoon. Suffice to say that we paddled, laughed and almost fell into the waves of surfers. Small dedication to my parents and Simon, you will have been proud of us ;)

In the evening we are absolutely delighted to meet our French friends Caroline and Anthony whom we met on the ascent of the Volcano in Guatemala. We met them by chance in Puerto Viejo in front of the bakery (the place where you can find all the French) and we decided to spend some time together in Panama. As such, when French people meet for the aperitif, saucisson and cheese where on the table. Pure enjoyment.

For the last day between French, we left to discover another paradise island of the archipelago: Solarte. We were able to snorkel, read and do some games, in short we enjoyed well before the night bus which was waiting for us to reach Panama City.
