Lima J+144/145

A 11h, nous voilà partis pour 21h de bus… La compagnie n’est pas la meilleure que l’on ait prise jusqu’à présent mais le confort est tout de même là. On a le service à bord avec une hôtesse qui nous sert les repas et les films…en espagnol. On s’occupe et le temps passe plus vite que prévu. A 8h le lendemain matin, nous arrivons à Lima. Au final nous avons préféré les 21h de bus aux 6h de minibus d’hier entre Hydroelectrica et Cusco.

On s’installe dans une auberge qui a l’air vraiment sympa : bar sur le toit, babyfoot, table de ping-pong, jeux-vidéos, happy hours… On prend un « petit-déjeuner » à l’auberge très copieux et nous partons à la découverte de la ville. Le centre historique est vraiment très joli avec ses places fleuries entourées de bâtiments historiques. Les églises sont tout de même un peu sombres et chargées. On marche toute la journée et on termine l’après-midi au parc aux fontaines. Les jeux de jets d’eau des 13 fontaines sont tous différents et relaxants. On se repose jusqu’à la tombée de la nuit où les jeux de lumières viennent sublimer les fontaines mais le spectacle sur la plus grande d’entre elle nous laisse sur notre faim. D’ailleurs, il est temps d’aller remplir nos estomacs. On profite d’être dans une grande ville pour continuer notre tour du monde des meilleurs burgers. Notre restaurant préféré pour les burgers à Genève, Ingelwood, n’a qu’à bien se ternir car à Lima nous avons trouvé un sacré challenger : Papachino’s. Selon moi il s’agit pour le moment du BEST BURGER, pour Thomas Ingelwood reste indétronable. Petite déception car le serveur a oublié de commander notre coulant au chocolat et après 35 minutes d’attente on y renonce… De retour à l’auberge, l’ambiance si cool du matin l’est beaucoup moins au moment de se coucher. On a l’impression d’être au milieu de la fête jusque dans notre lit. On arrive tout de même à trouver le sommeil avec des boules Quies.

At 11am, we are leaving for 21h of bus ... The company is not the best we had taken until now but the comfort is there. We have the service on board with a hostess who serves meals and movies ... in Spanish. We are busy and time passes faster than expected. At 8 o'clock the next morning, we arrive in Lima. At the end, we preferred the 21h of bus to the 6h of minibus yesterday between Hydroelectrica and Cusco.

We go to a hostel that looks really nice: rooftop bar, table football, ping-pong table, video games, happy hours ... We take a "breakfast" and leave to discover the city. The historical center is really very pretty with its flowered squares surrounded by historical buildings. However, the churches are little dark and busy. We walk all day and we end the afternoon at the park with fountains. The water jets of the 13 fountains are all different and relaxing. We rest until nightfall when the light shows come to sublimate the fountains but the spectacle on the biggest of it leaves us on our hunger. Besides, it's time to fill our stomachs. We enjoy being in a big city to continue our world tour of the best burgers. Our favorite restaurant for burgers in Geneva, Ingelwood, has only to tarnish because in Lima we found a big challenger: Papachino's. In my opinion it is for the moment the BEST BURGER, for Thomas Ingelwood remains on the top. Small disappointment since the waiter forgot to order our chocolate cake and after 35 minutes of wait we give up and ask the bill... Back at the hostel, the cool atmosphere of the morning is much less cool at bedtime. It feels like we are stuck in a middle of the party right up to our bed. We can still find sleep with Quies balls.
