Puerto Natales - Tores del Paine J+198/199

8h30 ça y est cette fois c’est la bonne : on est dans le bus pour Puerto Natales et par la même occasion de retour au Chili. La journée passe assez vite puisse que l’on arrive à 16h au bed & breakfast. Comme nous n’avions rien mangé depuis le petit déjeuner, on a la dalle ! On se dirige vers le centre-ville où l’on trouve un restaurant pas trop cher. Les pâtes sauce champignons sont vraiment un délice. Le ventre plein on part faire un petit tour de la ville mais au final on ne va pas bien loin. En effet, on passe devant une salle de jeux-vidéos et j’encourage Thomas à profiter de l’occasion. Cela fait plus de 6 mois qu’il n’a touché une console de jeux et ce n’est pas tous les jours que l’on a du temps devant nous. De plus, comme il fait un froid de canard dehors, on profite du chauffage pour se poser pendant une heure et demie. A la nuit tombée, on retourne au centre-ville rapidement et on rentre se mettre au chaud.

Je ne crois pas qu’il y ait eu de réveil plus difficile que celui-là… On toque à la porte de notre chambre, je me lève en sursaut. C’est la dame du B&B qui nous demande si nous n’avions pas un bus à prendre car elle nous attendait pour le petit-déjeuner… Il est 6h40 et il ne nous reste plus que 20 minutes pour attraper le bus ! Le sprint commence : on saute dans nos vêtements et nos chaussures pendant qu’elle nous prépare deux sandwichs à la hâte. Nous courrons dans la rue et sommes heureux d’avoir choisi un logement à seulement 7 minutes du terminal à pied. Cela nous sauve car nous arrivons à monter dans le bus à temps, ouf. On a 13h de route jusqu’à Ushuaia pour nous remettre de nos émotions. Après 3 bus différents, une traversée en bateau et un passage de frontière nous arrivons à la ville la plus australe !

8:30 am : we are in the bus for Puerto Natales and at the same time we are going back to Chile. The travel was nice and we arrive at 4pm at the bed & breakfast. Since we had eaten nothing since breakfast, we are starving! We headed to the city center where we found an affordable good restaurant. The mushrooms pasta sauce is a real delight. The belly full we go to do a little tour of the city but at the end we do not go very far. Indeed, we pass in front of a video games room and I encourage Thomas to take advantage of the opportunity. It has been more than 6 months since he did not use a PlayStation and it is not every day that we have time to play games. Also, as it is freezing cold outside, we take advantage of the heat and stay in the game room for an hour and half. At nightfall, we return to the city center briefly and get back to our accommodation to warm up.

I do not think we ever had such a stressing awakening during our world tour: someone knock at the door of our room and I wake up suddenly. It is the lady of the B & B who asks us if we did not have a bus to take as she was waiting for us for breakfast ... It is 6:40am and we only have 20 minutes to catch the bus! The sprint starts: we jump into our clothes and shoes while she prepares two sandwiches in a hurry. We run in the street and are happy to have an accommodation situated at only 7 minutes walk from the terminal. This saves us because we succeed to get on the bus in time. We are at 13 hours drive from Ushuaia and after 3 different buses, a boat and a border crossing we arrive at the southernmost city!
