Heureusement les jours se suivent mais ne se ressemblent pas. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes dans la capitale australienne et il fait beau ! Nous entamons cette journée au parlement qui est un très beau bâtiment circulaire au milieu d’une place en étoile. Sur place, nous avons droit à une visite guidée gratuite du lieu qui vaut vraiment le coup même si nous n’avons pas la chance de voir les députés ou les sénateurs siéger. Nous poursuivons notre journée au National Gallery of Australia et ce même si nous admettons que l’art n’est pas vraiment notre tasse de thé. Cependant, comme il est gratuit et réputé comme l’un des meilleurs d’Australie, nous n’avons pas d’excuses. Au final, nous avons passé un très bon moment entre peintures, sculptures et photographies… Petite pause déjeuné avec une délicieuse baguette dénichée dans une boulangerie de la ville accompagnée de quelques morceaux de camembert. Comme il fait toujours beau l’après-midi, nous mettons le nez dehors mais à cause du vent glacial, le thermomètre dépasse difficilement les 10°c ressentie. Après notre petite balade le long du canal, nous trouvons refuge au mémorial des deux guerres mondiales qui, comme celui de Melbourne, est vraiment très intéressant et très complet. Nous prenons une douche au centre nautique avant de reprendre la route qui nous ramène vers la côte.

Fortunately the days follow but are not alike. Today we are in the Australian capital and the weather is fine! We begin this day in the parliament, which is a very beautiful circular building in the middle of a star square. On site we are entitled to a free guided tour of the place that is really worth it even if we do not have the chance to see MPs or senators sit. We continue our day at the National Gallery of Australia even if we admit that art is not really our cup of tea. However, since it is free and reputed to be one of the best in Australia, we have no excuses. In the end, we had a great time between paintings, sculptures and photographs ... Small break lunch with a delicious baguette unearthed in a bakery of the city accompanied by some pieces of camembert. As it is always nice in the afternoon, we put our nose out but because of the icy wind, the thermometer hardly exceeds the 10 ° c felt. After a short stroll along the canal, we find refuge in the memorial of the two world wars which, like that of Melbourne, is very interesting and very complete. We take a shower at the nautical center before taking the road that brings us back to the coast.
